The self-explanatory title above should alert you to what this blog is about. We are focused on the history of "pants." Fashionable and functionable, pants, aka: trousers, slacks, strides, kegs/kex, or breeches, have been around for centuries. Nomadic Iranian horsemen invented the trousers and the Iranian Scythians, along with the Achaeminid Persians, became the early adopters of trousers. Fast-forward to the 21st century, and everybody around the world, from babies to centenarians, wears pants. We love pants, so we will post more blogs about the history of pants and their counterparts (jeans, sweatpants, leggings, tights, et cetera) along with their ties to the worlds of fashion and music.
